IAG meets in Abuja Nigeria in February
The international Advisory Group (IAG) was established at the EITI London conference in 2005 to guide the further work of the international EITI secretariat on defining proposals in the future development and implementation of EITI globally.
The IAG is chaired by Peter Eigen of Transparency International and draws membership from the extractive industry, EITI implementing countries, civil society organisations, investors and the donor community.
Obiageli Ezekwesili, Cabinet Minister and Chair of NEITI represents Nigeria on the IAG.
IAG regularly meets to review EITI Implementation in line with the objectives stated above. The 3rd meeting of the IAG was held from the I5th -17 th of February 2006 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja.
